Finisar Corp.(FNSR 20.87, +1.10, +5.56%) shares advanced 6.2% after the transmission-gear maker said it expects third-quarter earnings to exceed estimates. Regal Cinemas Corp.(RGC 14.65, +0.89, +6.47%) shares gained 8.1% after the theater operator announced a special cash dividend for the end of the year and hiked its planned first-quarter dividend.
